“First years” camp is for students ages 5-8. Those that have attended previous camps will revisit some old plant friends, and also learn some new ways of working with them, along with a few new “potions” to add to their list.

About the Event
Day 1 – Introduction and Exploration
Explore the gardens in search of plants for our potions. We’ll learn about where they like to grow, how they like to grow, what they look like, what they taste like, and ways to work with them. We’ll craft a magic wand to help us make our potions, create a field book to store all of our new plant knowledge, and learn how to press and preserve herbs for an art project we'll do on Day 3.
Day 2 – Bath and Bedtime Potions
Today we venture into the magical world of dreams. We’ll meet some new plant friends that will help us unwind, relax, and protect us while we're sleeping. We'll also make a fizzy herbal bath potion that will turn our bathtub into a bubbling cauldron, and a soothing herb-infused massage potion to help prepare us for a peaceful, dreamy night's sleep.
